The A-P Series™ Closed End Radial
Grooved Insert provides excellent torque and pull out strength in honeycomb panels. A hole
and cavity is created within the panel. Epoxy is injected filling the cavity and
the A-P Series™ Insert is installed gripping the top skin.
Once the epoxy cures, the A-P Series™ is
bonded within the panel and excellent torque and pull out loads are achieved.
The A-P Series™
Insert can be installed using AVK’s ARO brand Pneumatic Tools
or AVK’s SPP™ Pneumatic/Hydraulic Tools. The A-P Series™ Insert is another AVK Spinwall
Technology™; Product.

HOLE PREPARATION |

Drill a hole into the top panel and core material per the AVK specifications.

| 2) |
Router the core material creating a cavity 2 1/2 times greater than the
insert “D” dimension.

| 3) |
Fill the cavity with epoxy* and install the A-P Series™ Insert.
